There is something about the writing style of the age. There's an idiot protagonist who gets helped along the way by one or more stronger mentors. Very common.

You MUST read Frankenstein in its original. Also Phantom of the Opera.

Oooo, I've been meaning to read Frankenstein for a while now! Even tho Phantom of the Opera is very famous, I don't actually know anything about it, Lol! Yeah I guess that's true, maybe I'll come upon that type of writing more if I read more classics xD

I watched the Lon Chaney Phantom. It was okay but I've never developed a taste for silent movies. I also watched the movie they made from the Andrew Lloyd Weber play. I thought it was a lot better than most other people. But listening to the album of the sound track with Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford was OMG!!!!!!

Crawford retired after Phantom due to a degenerative illness. I became obsessed with Brightman and bought everything she ever did. Even managed to see her in concert once.

She was in training to be a cosmonaut, one of the first space tourists. Her record label wouldn't let her. Her album, "La Luna," was the result.
